BREAKING NEWS: Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf announced today that he has line-item vetoed a $30.3 billion budget plan sent to his desk by the General Assembly on December 23.
Spending authorized under the line-item veto totals $23.399 billion and includes a 10 percent increase in funding to rape crisis services which raises state funding to $9,639,000. Domestic violence programs also will receive a $1.5 million increase in state funding in the spending plan approved today by Wolf.
All appropriated federal funds will be released that are available.
PCAR has been told by a member of the Governor’s Budget Office that the goal is to process invoices within seven to 10 days or two weeks at the most.
